Get ready for an exciting update, Samsung fans! The Good Guardians are here to stay, and they're bringing their modules along for the ride with full One UI 8.5 support.
Last month, Samsung dropped the beta version of One UI 8.5, an Android 16 QPR2 update, for the Galaxy S25 series. Since then, Samsung has been hard at work ensuring its apps are compatible with this new software. And now, they've done it! Four essential apps, Good Guardians and its modules - Battery Guardian, Memory Guardian, and Thermal Guardian - are now fully compatible with One UI 8.5.
But here's where it gets controversial... While Samsung has updated a bunch of apps, some are still lagging behind. These four apps, however, have received the royal treatment and are now ready to roll with the latest software. The updates carry version numbers 8.5.09, 8.5.17, 8.5.17, and 8.5.09, respectively, ensuring a seamless experience for Galaxy users.
To get your hands on these updated apps, head over to the Galaxy Store, tap the three-line icon in the top-left corner, select Updates, and hit the Update all button. Easy peasy!
And this is the part most people miss... Samsung is expected to release the stable version of One UI 8.5 soon after the launch of the Galaxy S26 series. So, keep an eye out for that!
