Jake Dixon Fractures Wrist at 2026 Phillip Island WSBK Test | Impact Ahead of Portimao Round (2026)

Jake Dixon's 2026 Phillip Island World Superbike test ended abruptly with a wrist fracture. The incident occurred during the final day of testing, as Dixon fell from his Honda at Turn 11, the exit of MG, on his first flying lap. Initial medical assessments revealed fractures to his left wrist and a contusion to his left elbow. This injury is a setback for Dixon, who was the top Honda rider on day one, and it comes at a challenging time for the team, as Dixon's HRC teammate Somkiat Chantra is already absent due to a training injury. The situation is further complicated by the fact that Dixon and Chantra are both WorldSBK rookies. Despite the setback, Dixon is expected to make a recovery in time for the second round of the 2026 season at Portimao, over a month away. Meanwhile, Stefano Manzi, who also brought out red flags on the final morning due to an accident at Turn 2, has been declared fit to continue.
